If you've never ordered clothing online, you may be concerned about choosing the right size for the items you want. With Carhartt Clothing that's definitely important because you don't want anything that's too tight or too baggy when you're in the work environment. Sizing Shirts

If you're interested in purchasing Carhartt Clothing because you need a durable but attractive new shirt to wear to work, then it all begins with finding the right size. Carhart carries a wide-range of sizes so that shouldn't be the problem but you do have to determine which of those varied sizes is going to be right for your shirt.

To start with, you should use measuring tape and measure the circumference of your chest. Make sure to go under your arms and not around them if you want an accurate measurement. Once you've got that number, you'll be able to determine the correct size. For chests of around 14 inches, the best size is small. For each increasing inch, you should add an extra size. For example, a 15 inch chest would need a medium while a 20 inch chest would need a 4X shirt.

Sizing Jeans & Pants

Most men already know the size of jeans they wear but it's not a bad idea to give you a crash course in taking those measurements just in case. Basically, men's pants are sold in sizes based on the length of the inseam (the inner part of the leg from ankle to the top of the leg) and the circumference of the waist. For example, a pair of pants that's a 34 X 32 means they fit a person with a waist of 34 inches and an inseam of 32 inches.

Traditional fit means the pants are going to hug the seat of the pants and the legs with the pants legs narrowing as they reach the ankles. If you want something a little less form-fitting, choose a loose fit or a dungaree fit. Both of these are going to give you more room to move and the legs are kept wide enough to fit over your work boots.
