Boys Camo

My niece is the most girly girl you've ever met. Blond hair, blue eyes, dresses like a princess all the time and loves pink. It's absolutely her favorite color. I learned today and even she, the most girly girl in our family, can handle camo.

For her birthday she got a camouflage coat to wearing when hunting with her daddy or playing out at the grandparents farm. It's warm and definitely camo gear. Some would say it's masculine, but when it comes to hunting its important to blend in with nature. If that's masculine then so be it. You can't very well wear pink and hide in the trees. She loves it.

She also has pink camo bedding. It's really pretty cool. It's not designed to hide in the trees but it still has an unmistakable camo pattern but using pink and tan and gray colors. Instead of thinking that she has a boys bedding, she knows that she's got something adapted to her needs. Camouflage for girls.

If you on the fence about whether or not its ok to decorate a girls room with camo, know that it is. If your daughter likes it, go with it. If she doesn't then pick something else, but you'll probably be surprised at her reaction to the camouflage. The best advice is to not overdo it. You don't have to decorate everything with the pattern, perhaps just the bedspread and then do the rest of the room in solid colors that complement it. That way it's not overwhelming and will definitely look feminine for your precious child.
