Every young child out there wants to learn to ride a bicycle (bike) as soon as possible. It is one of those childhood experiences that no child should pass up. Once they learn to ride a bicycle it stays with them throughout the rest of their lives. That is why there is the saying 'it's like learning to ride a bike' because once you learn to ride a bike, you will never forget it. Nowadays, there are so many different options when buying a child a bicycle.

Many parents will choose to buy a bike bearing the logo of the child's favorite cartoon character. One of today's most well known television characters is Dora the Explorer. The young Spanish and English speaking adventurer is loved by children all over the world. They love how fearless she is and how on each episode she sets out to save an animal with her trusty sidekick Boots the monkey. Because she is one of the more famous cartoon characters, most children requests a Dora the Explorer bike when their parents ask them what kind of bike they would like.

The Dora the Explorer bike comes in a variety of sizes of styles. There are bikes that range from 10 inches to 16 inches. They are ideal for children ages 2 to 6. There is also the Dora Go Go Trike for younger kids. Dora bikes are very colorful and have fun Dora characters all over. There are pictures of Dora as well as her beloved friend Boots. On all of the larger bikes, there is a fun backpack that is attached to the handlebars with a cute map on the side pocket. This is perfect for the little rider to store her toys or snacks or change. It is a built in accessory so the parents will not need to purchase a basket to be attached.

Another great aspect of the Dora bikes is that they come equipped with removable training wheels. When young children are learning to ride for the first time, many parents opt for using training wheels. Training wheels are recommended for young riders because they help with balance until the child is able to ride on his or her own. Removable training wheels are on all Dora the Explorer bikes except the Go Go Trike. This helpful because parents will not have to go out and buy training wheels to attach to the bike and the child is able to learn to ride more easily.

Dora bikes are easy to assemble and very affordable. They have fun graphics all over and children will love seeing their favorite Dora characters all over the bike. They are comfortable and have great soft wheels. The seats are adjustable so when the child grows a little, she will still be able to ride on her Dora bike. It is an allover great purchase that will delight any Dora the Explorer fan.
