just get a Wii (finally) suggestions for good games for girls?

I just bought Ecco the Dolphin from the Wii store I thought it would be cool but it turns out, it is difficult to understand! All links to ECCO advice would be appreciated. I like games that are not only physical, that I can sit on the couch to play - and use my brain too! all accessories as good as I have to pick? (I recognize that these issues are prolly the most requested below sorry, I am a newbie;)

if your brain games, try Twilight Princess (quests and puzzles that are really fun, more beautiful graphics and a great scenario) or Brain Academy (reaction time and memory capacity and fast calculation). do not forget about downloadable games too - including tons of old games and Mario Kirby. rechargeable battery is a good investment that batteries Wii Remote may tend to flow very quickly. Also, try www.ign.com or site Nintendo hints and cheats for your games.
