Girls Purple

'The Color Purple is an epistolary novel written by Alice Walker, which raises many important issues to understand the lifestyle of African-American in the early 20th century. This essay is devoted to topics such as energy, influence, decision making and organizational culture discussed in the book. It is an analysis of a novel "The Color Purple ', which analyzes the main characters in the book, with reference primary subjects.
The novel raises an important issue as the low position of black women in American society. The situation of black women has was really difficult because of their gender and color. In the paper the attention is paid to social norms in society described by the author.
The protagonist of the novel "The Color Purple", written by Alice Walker is Celie. She is a young woman who was abused at age 14 by his own father. Later, she discovers he is not his father, but he is his father-in that forces to marry a man who also abuses her. Alice Walker has organized the book as a series of narratives written by God for the central character Celie. The book "The Color Purple" began with Celie's words addressed to God. Celie is a young black girl who lives in Georgia. Although she is uneducated and letters to God are written in dialect, is a strong character.
In her letters she told God, it is a good girl and always has been a good girl. Celie wants to know his future, asking God to give him a sign. She described the painful events and morbid life, coupled with his stepfather. Throughout the first part of the step-father of Celie's story called "It." She writes: "He started to strangle me, saying: You better shut up and git used to it. But I never used git. And now, I think whenever sick, I be alone in the kitchen. "(Walker, 2003, p. 11)
Celie is a strong personality who, despite all the pain trying to move and live. His letters are evidence her inner strength and power, they are proof of his desire to live and make their own decisions in life.
Stepfather Celie's called "He" in the first part of the book 'The Color Purple' has the power in society because he is a man. He uses his power to humiliate women because they are powerless in the early 20th century. Celie's stepfather rapes her to show he is the main person in the house and can make what he wants. "It" takes its decisions by himself and nobody can tell him what to do. "It" affects the life of Celie, her sister and other women who live deep scars in their souls.
Celie's stepfather wants to get rid of it by saying it is old and ugly. "He" wants Mr. __ to marry. "He said:" Well, the next time you come you can watch it. She ugly. Do not even look it as the parent of Nettie. But it will be the best woman. It is not smart either, and I'll be honest, you have to watch her or she will give everything you have. But it can work like a man. "(Walker, 2003, p. 18)
After all, humiliation and suffering Celie becomes more very emotional. It has a strong survival instinct to realize that she is a victim in the current situation. Celie does not understand the reasons for its poor condition present. She does not complain but simply asks God why all the events in his life. Celie feels nothing and has low self esteem because she had a difficult period. Even after marriage, she remains a slave to her husband who treats the same way his father-in Celie's a fact. Mr. __ shows his attitude against women in general. He said: "Well how do you SPECT of his mind? Women, it is like children. You must Let 'Em who has taken over. Nothing can be better than the shots sound good "(Walker, 1996, p. 42). M., Celie's husband's does not respect its abuse his wife.
