Lace Shoes
Teach children how to tie their shoes is a way to help them learn self-reliance. When they learn independence through shoe-tie, they may be inclined to try other things on their own children and become more independent, capable and competent, adolescents and adults.
Since the invention of Velcro, the shoes most of these children have easy closings. However, there are benefits to teaching children how to tie their own shoes. Physically, it helps children work on their fine motor skills, the hand-eye coordination and dexterity. On the social side, it helps children use self-confidence and can lead to increased confidence in his abilities. Moreover, it is always an important milestone of childhood!
Here are some tips to help children learn how to tie their shoes all by themselves:
(1) The laces of different colors: You will probably find it easier to help your child learn how to tie his shoes If the laces are not the same color. Dr. Robyn's PowerNote: If your child is a lefty and you're not, ask another lefty to help you teach your child how to tie his shoes. Ormirror them! Sit facing your children and make a shoe with one with them. In this way, tying your shoe to match what they do.
Again, while Velcro and laces elastic cord are available, learning to tie own shoes using self autonomy and development. And, as you know, your child develop into an adult one day ... and when is the last time you used Velcro to fasten your shoes? You might as well teach them now they will need to learn the skill eventually!
