Leather Sneakers

When you go out to buy a purse or any kind of furniture made from leather you can't help but wonder, Is it real? You especially become more suspicious if you are getting a very good deal on it. Now days companies have been able to imitate leather very well. A lot of time I myself have a hard time telling the difference. A while back it was always very obvious to differentiate between the two. Now, I still use my own techniques when doing a leather inspection and I am almost always right. I use my sense of smell, my sense of touch, a close examination and at the end I use my intuition.

Many people can smell leather from a distance. It does have a certain smell that is the same all the time. I learned this smell as I was growing up when all my friends got those expensive brand name sneakers and I had to wear bargain brand shoes. When I was old enough to get my own expensive shoes, I really cherished them and knew that they had a different smell to them then the cheap shoes that I always wore. Then the next pair after that had the same great smell. From then on whenever I shopped for leather the first thing I would do is take a sniff.

Another difference I learned from my shoes experience is that the expensive brand name sneakers that claim to be genuine leather were always very comfortable and very soft. My fake shoes where stiff and even cracked in some areas especially where the foot bends. I learned the difference so well, it's like comparing expensive rich Ice Cream to cheap ice cream.

The last thing I noticed that was very different then plastic sneakers is how it was stitched up. The overall quality of a product made from leather material is so much better. This is why it is a lot more expensive and is very well worth it, if you ask me.

After I have made my inspection but still not sure I follow my gut feeling. I believe that if something is too good to be true then it normal isn't. So if someone is trying to sell you a very attractive bag for a cheap price that looks so real, don't fall for it.You should do this when you are shopping for any kind of leather product including leather furniture. Remember that this material is pricey and if you want it then you have to pay good money. So, the three tips here are smell, feel, and examine, then before you know it you will become a leather pro.
