Jumping Horse Boots - Leather vs. vs. Plastic & Velcro Straps?

I think about ordering Pessoa leather lined open front and ankle boots: What http://www.doversaddlery.com/product.asp?pn=X1-04461&ids=108394816 are the advantages and disadvantages of leather boots than plastic boots Neoprene is doubled? and what are the advantages and disadvantages of velcro straps? and y'all would go with these boots or you choose boots as Eskarons? Firstly, you are wise to go with leather lining on the fleece. Fleece air fantasy, but it is a pain the neck to keep clean. jump boots and leather looks really nice, I'll always agree with that. However, they are much more difficult to maintain as plastic Boots (Eskadron IE). They require faithful cleaning and oiling to keep them in Good Condition. On rainy days, you have to dry thoroughly (and not in the sun!), then make sure they get oiled so they do not dry and crack. Straps and buckles to see nice, but they are more annoying for them. On the positive side of everyone Tack repair can replace them if they break. You must be very careful to clean all the sand from the inside your shoes regularly so they do not chafe the legs of your horse - this is true with any boot, but a little harder with leather. The advantages of Eskadron boots plastic type is that you can hose off the excess sand and throw them in the washer, then through his hair, and they out very nice and clean. I do not recommend doing this all the time, but when they are too bad, it's a very handy feature. I find I get much use out of them, but when I found my leather on clearance for a great price I could not pass them - I know I'll eventually use, I'm just picky about my gear!
