Marvel Spider
Marvel Editor in Chief Joe Quesada was in her marriage for Spider-Man Mary Jane Watson. Quesada has supported Peter Parker is more interesting than a Bachelor - and no more sympathy being married to a supermodel. Some fans (myself included) liked the red Spunky, while others were dead-set against it. Quesada knew kill or stop DOJ or divorce was finally a no-sale. The solution was a controversial Faustian price.
To be fair, the comic Spider-Man was a bad story after another. Since the symbolic death of Gwen Stacy at the hands the Green Goblin, Spider-Man Comics struggled to repeat the same success emblematic. Their results were mixed. In 1996, Marvel introduced a new Spider-Man - Ben Reilly - and said Peter Parker is a clone. Meant that the disastrous response of the fan, the situation was reversed, and killed Ben Reilly Spider-Man economies. Inn 2004, Marvel was the bold assertion of Green Goblin had had children with Gwen Stacy. Peter Parker won an Iron Man suit as Following a transfer skills in the "other" story, but despite good reviews, both powers and costume have disappeared during the civil war.
Spider-Man himself publicly unmasked in Civil War. The time gained critical response, but I wrote the character to the creek without a paddle. When Spider-Man had a change of heart, he became a wanted man by the evil and the law itself. This "Brand New Day" more than an effort to overthrow Mary Jane Watson, but also provide a chance to put back the clarity of Spider-Man.
Neither Brand New Day, or its prequel, One More Day, was served with more praise than its predecessors. Aunt May Lay Dying, both MJ and Peter agreed that their marriage is destroyed by the demon Mephisto in exchange for Aunt May's health. The story went like a lead balloon with fans - Aunt May was about twenty-ten years old in the comics, although in his declining years.
Yet, history has made the cartoon Spider-Man more interesting. Son of Green Goblin's Harry is brought to life. Peter Parker's identity is safe. A superhero named Jackpot red may or may not be Mary Jane Watson. Despite criticism from fans, the Faustian pact is Spider-Man book more readable. But the end justifies the means? Only time - and lots of cobwebs -- will tell.
The strange world of Dr. Strange
The Latin phrase deus ex machina literally means "God out of the device," which refers to an artificial or improbable character or situation that is suddenly put in place to resolve the plot. It may have well in the study of Greek tragedies, but it becomes a bit more complicated in the comics, where the improbable is now a daily act. And no other person straddling this line for Marvel own Dr. Stephen Strange.
Like all creations of Silver Age the Marvel comic, Dr. Strange is a very human character. Once a brilliant - but arrogant - surgeon, Stephen Strange lost its ability to function during an accident Car horrible. Distraught, he has traveled the globe in search of a remedy for his injuries. During his visit a hermit mystic called the Old, Strange saved his guest of an attack by the apprentice treacherous one old, Baron Mordo. After risking his life against the forces he could not probe, Stephen earned the respect of the Old, who took it as a new apprentice and taught him the mystic arts. Stephen Strange then took the torch as Sorcerer Supreme - the largest specialist in the mystical art world.
The capacity of Stephen Strange are far too numerous to name - and this became a problem in recent years, when Dr. Strange could solve almost any crisis in which he was involved with stories latest comic book dealing more explicitly with its limitations. For example, Dr. Strange has used black magic on the leadership to solve its problems - Once in a battle with Hulk and again during an unexpected ambush Supervillain. Both scenarios have the potential to hurt the people around him, if Dr. Strange has left the physical plane to the magical equivalent of "Cold Turkey." Accordingly, Dr. Strange is out of action - at least for now.
Today, Dr. Strange is much disturbed if the Marvel universe. Even the editor in chief Joe Quesada said his Deus ex machina status. Recent changes related to its status appear to be efforts to change, hopefully. But if all else fails, we can be secure the second-in-line for Sorcerer Supreme is more than ready to take should never lose Strange title - Fantastic Four enemy, Dr. Doom is the second man smartest in the world in terms of science and magic.
