We are quickly becoming a pen-less and paperless society. In the same way that typewriters have reduced the need for writing, computers have reduced the need for paper. In the past, writing a novel, complete tax forms, or even make a list of groceries needed to write them on paper. Today, these tasks can be done through the fingers keyboard. When ink is needed, however, it is often ink, no printer ink pen. In addition, if John Hancock were to put his "John Hancock" or signature on the Declaration of Independence today, he could use an electronic pen. But the news is not all bad in the decline of the use of pen ink. The era of the personal computer has prevented the slaughter countless trees. In addition, computers have greatly increased the efficiency of recording information. In interviews, secretaries are often asked how many words per minute, they can write. Despite the slump in the use of pen ink, however, fountain pens Cross still continue to write more tactile, and at the same time maintain a long tradition.
The ink fountain
A pen is filled from a source outside itself, and contains an ink supply which automatically feeds the writing point. From the 900s, humans began to develop a pen that is nourished and did not need sharpening. The mission has been accomplished in 1884 when the Company created the first fountain pen Waterman. That worked Pen and a pen "dipping" but not required bottles of ink! Today, many styles of fountain pens are produced, but each has the same basic parts. The tip serves as the pen. Then, barrel store replacement ink cartridges. And finally, the CAP covers the pen to protect it. What makes the ink flows consistently in one pen? A force called capillary action to keep the speed the flow of ink from its offer to the balanced point.
Cross Company
The AT Cross Company is no stranger to pens. It has been the creation and improvement of quality writing instruments for over a century and a half. In fact, the Cross was the first American producer of quality writing instruments. Today, design and craftsmanship of Cross pens continue to be world class. The founder of the company, AT Cross, is a master and pencil maker pen who shared his craft with Alonzo Townsend Cross, his son. As the saying goes, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Today Pens Quality Cross are handmade as they have always been - One at a time in the beautiful city of Lincoln, Rhode Island.
The Pens
Like all their products, fountain pens Cross are truly masterpieces, revealing several features that add value for the instruments. For example, all that glitters is gold Cross pens. Some of their high-end pens fountain include the limitation of gold, feathers, and barrels. The many layers of clear lacquer to allow other Cross pens in the air as smooth as the Italian sports cars of today. In addition, if you want a pen once flashy than the U.S. standard issued by the writing instrument, you can choose a pen from Cross of almost all colors found in a bag of Skittles candy. On the other hand, if you prefer the power of aesthetics, choose a pen that Cross was rhodium-plated metal is very hard.
