Peacock Blue

No other sport fish in the world approaches the reputation of peacock bass "for fierce, inspiring fear strikes and cons of pure fighting power busting. The peacock behaves like a largemouth bass aggressive on steroids with a really bad attitude. When a peacock decides to strike a lure surface, it strikes with such power, noise and impact that you can not believe it's real. It can literally jump a fisherman without distrust in reflexive flinching and trying to drag the bait away.

Subsurface strikes are no less impressive, feeling as if your bait somehow become addicted to board a freight train underwater. Violent behavior and peacock displays amazing strength of the wrist seems impossible for a fish twice its size.

Cichla Ocellaris, the peacock butterfly, has a much broader scope than its larger cousin. Butterflies are not only found throughout the Amazon, but they have been successfully transplanted to America Central, southern Florida, Mexico and Hawaii.
