Reef Seaside
The Dominican Republic is a Caribbean country that is beautiful on the island of Hispaniola.
Sosua can be described as a true Caribbean resort city. A small village Jam packed with colorful and vibrant restaurants, bars, beach huts and a market villas and hotels, gift shops and souvenir stores, bakeries and butcher shops and the best snorkeling reef on the north coast.
Located east the Gregorio Luperon International Airport on a taxi ten minutes. Walk to the beach, access from the village center of Sosua and you'll Tripping on a shape of a horseshoe bay with awesome all shades of blue, you can imagine in the waters of the Atlantic.
Sosua itself really obtained on the map in the early 1940s as many Jewish settlers came here to escape the persecution of Nazi Germany. Refugees settled in the eastern part of El Batey Sosua called and constituted success Sosua Dairy Cooperative, which exists to this day. The dairy product now most dairy products from countries of the. There is a small Jewish museum detailing the history of refugees next to Casa Marina Hotel.
The streets are a little more run with the motorcycle taxis so do not be frightened by whistles and jeers drivers are just trying to drum up business.
The city is divided into two halves of El Batey Los Charamicos. The main road through town is named Pedro Clisante and begins to El Batey. Here, Tons of restaurants, bars and cafes. Pleasant and safe enough to stroll and dine in the evening. Heading westward from Los Charamicos is a labyrinth of streets and roads primarily a residential area for local citizens and Sosua is the old part of Sosua and the old city.
Alongside the beach is a market stall and shack after shack souvenir and gift shops. Do not forget to haggle and shop around for vendors hesitate not enjoy the lack of tourist experience.
You'll also be able to hire snorkel masks and fins to the beach to enjoy reefs in the bay. The reefs are about sixty meters swimming, if you are not super energetic then there's also a boat glass bottom so you does get wet and fancy banana boat if you do. The reefs were standing on by many tourists and local fishermen over the years, however there are still a multitude of colorful fish and if you want to experience a fish Feeding Frenzy take bread or banana with you and literally feed fish while you're in the water
Be warned, however, that Sosua has more than its fair share of prostitutes so keep one hand on your beer and the other firmly on your wallet.
