Aircraft Rivets
The two main types of rivets used in aircraft are rivet joint solid rod, to be led by air powered rivet gun and bucking bar, and special (blind) rivets, which are installed with special tools for installation. Rivets full stem are widely used in the assembly and repair. They are identified by the material they are made, the type of head size stem, and the mood state.

Rivet edge distance is defined as the distance from the rivet hole to the nearest edge of the sheet. Rivet spacing is the distance between the center of the rivet hole in the center of the rivet hole adjacent. Unless structural deficiencies are suspected, the spacing of rivets and edge distance should duplicate those of the structure of the original unit.
