Shoes Sneakers

Although the title indicates running shoes, I write this with all kinds of sports shoes in mind: tennis shoes, walking shoes, athletic shoes, aerobic shoes, basketball, etc. The principle is generally the same. For brevity, can simply go to them mostly in running shoes.

We all understand that running shoes have a limited lifespan. Most people, however, continue to wear them long after their useful life is over. Most often in my office, I'll have people tell me that their shoes are three years, but (insert excuse here ...). Some of my favorites, it fits my feet perfectly (which means it is down), the heel is worn out how much I love (this which means it has a hole inside the shoe), new shoes just bothers me (which means that if I wore these long the medium is too different at this point), and my favorite: They still look new.

Yes, they still look new. When you do that run on the treadmill, using the elliptical, and some stationary bike, and your shoes never see the light of day, of course they new look. What is problematic is the part you do not see.

The support function and a running shoe to the foot has little or nothing to do with the overall appearance of the upper shoe or even the sole. It is the sole, the portion of the sole which is largely invisible outside, which has more function and limits the useful life of a shoe. With each stride, the sole and compresses over time, loses most of its support. For runners, I estimate the useful life of a running shoe at about 350 miles. This amount may be slightly shorter for riders heavier and slightly longer for lighter. For those who really do not regularly or in other partcipate sports and activities that can not me measured by mileage, your shoes should be replaced every 4-6 months, depending on the frequency and level of activity.

Then begin to keep track of the life of your shoes. Dedicate a pair of shoes (or more) exclusively for the year to get the most out of his life. You can record your mileage log for your race, or even the pen on the side of the shoe. For remember how old a shoe is, write the date on the tongue or the outsole.

Whenever you are involved in the exercise of serious, minor injuries are inevitable. You must do everything you can to minimize them. Just wear proper footwear is a simple way to help.
