How can I stop cloths felt even after they have been washed?

When I wash my dish towels, they come clean, but when they get wet again smell. The smell is still on the dishes and my hands, so that after using some Sometimes I have to get new ones to avoid. Is there something that makes them not smell?

The only thing I found to make them stop smell is either 1) Soak in a solution of bleach or 2) with sponges, put a little liquid dish soap on it (does not take much) Add a little water and soap to work through. It seems that the bleach in the dishwasher soap kills bacteria. It is advisable to wear gloves when you do Option 2 and May, you have to do every 3 or 4 days for sponges, but they feel nothing in the meantime.
